I am a local resident, proud of our town and I see great potential. We are blessed with an abundance of gorgeous green space, wonderful walking routes and a perfectly pedestrianised town centre. There is a lot of room for improvement and with the high street rapidly declining we need to think creatively about how to breathe life and a sense of community back into our great town. As a mum of 2 pre-school children I feel there is a lack of services and facilities that would encourage me to visit the town centre instead of opting to shop online.
This is not a problem that cannot be rectified, however, and I am working hard to create a perfect space where other parents, just like me, can bring their children to eat, play and learn.
The Parent Hood of Harlow
I want to create a multi-purpose venue with a coffee shop on site serving simple food and excellent coffee.
Children will be able to explore and play freely while their grown-ups can enjoy the comfortable and welcoming environment.
Classes and activities will run in the dedicated room for hire designed specifically for baby and toddler groups and other perinatal services.
The space will be perfect for birthdays, naming ceremonies, baby showers and more.
There will be a big focus of using local services to ensure the community is involved in the success of the The Parent Hood ranging from refurbishment to catering.
